The Bear Season 1 Episode 6 “Ceres” has a three-minute conversation between Carm and Sugar.
The real meat of the scene is kicked off by one of my favourite exchanges:
“Wanna fight?“
”Please!”
The closeups slowly become more and more frequent and more prominent as the conversation becomes more personal.
When the tension really lets up, they just pop right back out to the wide.
The scene ends on medium-close-two-shots as Sugar comes to look over Carmy’s shoulder, then they ‘get out’ of the scene by jumping into another in full swing.
Nothing between Carm and Sugar is fully resolved, but they end the fight closer together, literally as well as figuratively.
